Associate Director of Program Development
Location: Syracuse, New York
What I do:
I help create and update TFC curriculum to ensure change agents from around the world receive the most enriching and fulfilling experience in our virtual classroom.
Professional Experience:
In addition to my role at The Flourishing Center, I own a small business as a positive psychology based coach, facilitator and consulting. I offer coaching and interactive workshops to help clients deepen their connection with themselves, others, and the world around them. I hold a BA in Human Development from Oswego State University, a Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology, and a Positive Psychology Coaching Certification from The Flourishing Center. I have a rich background in program development, facilitation, and evaluation. I also volunteer in the Syracuse University Mind Body Lab and study the benefits of mindfulness-based interventions on youth, their teachers, and families.
My Story:
When I was 12, I declared I wanted to be a therapist to help people become happier and healthier. That desire has manifested in many ways throughout my life, but it wasn't until I studied abroad in New Zealand and took a course in positive psychology that everything clicked. Discovering the science behind wellbeing, happiness, and resilience flipped my world right-side up. I returned home with the new-found knowledge and inspiration to teach others about this magic. Positive psychology brings me the joy and purpose to continue my 10+ year love affair with creating and facilitating wellness-related experiences.
Morning Ritual:
An ever-evolving combination of snuggles, a few deep breaths, gentle movement, a good sweat, savoring what's good, and a big ole mug of black coffee.
A Little Known Fact About Me…
My favorite color changes daily, I love caring for my many house plants, and believe Wegmans carrot cake can cure just about any ailment.
