Howdie CAPPsters, I’m so excited to welcome Katrina Goff to Final Project Friday. She’ll present her project that applies the principles of positive psychology to marital relationships so they can be stronger than ever! If you’re interested in the “R” in PERMA-V, this is for you.
About Diana (CAPP.94)
What inspired my final project
My mom’s death in 2019 was the catalyst, so every StoryLine™ is a tiny piece of her living on and continuing to help others. CAPP.92, a friend who was a psychologist, and my friends at ReNU 2023 helped me start to frame the power of StoryLines™ into terms that others could understand and gave me the focus to bring StoryLines™ to larger audiences.
Bio
Diana works with individuals to empower them to create their own unique and extraordinary lives, not simply north of neutral, but by raising “neutral” to a new set point. A “jack of all trades”, prior to CAPP Diana worked in professions ranging from crisis social worker to hot air balloon team member to small business owner of an artisanal bath/body/florist/bakery shop. She also served the US government for decades in the Department of State (DOS) and is a writer, photographer, researcher and adjunct faculty at four universities, and the list goes on…
She is a military spouse and mother of two who has spent the majority of the last 10 years overseas in Sub-Saharan Africa while working with DOS. Life transitions are resilience are her jam, having managed multiple moves, pets, kids, and parental caregiving, all while spread over three continents.
She lives with her husband who has served 30 years in the US Army, her teenage son who published his first book, her daughter who works as a crime scene investigator, two rescue dogs from Senegal and a globetrotting kitten.
In all things she aspires to be led by a sense of wonder, curiosity and service to others.
Note: this event is open to students & graduates of the Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP) Program.
