Program Vision & Learning Goals
According to the International Coaching Federation (ICF), coaching is described as thought-provoking and creative process that inspires clients to maximize their personal and professional potential. Positive psychology based coaching integrates the scientific study of thriving as tools, interventions, and measures that further empower both the coach and client. Combined, with the positive psychology expertise gained in the CAPP Program, APPC students are able to uniquely position themselves as coaches that use scientifically proven approaches to help their clients achieve greater wellbeing, life satisfaction, and personal mastery, faster and more effectively. All students are trained in coaching at a master level. Coaches learn how to create a container for the coaching process that is client directed, facilitates awareness and personal/professional transformation.
Students receive over 2 dozen hours of coaching from their peers, as well as the instructor. Students get to listen to and learn from dozens of hours of coaching sessions from live sessions and our Coaching Session Repository.

Detailed Approach & List of Modules
The APPC Program is designed under the LITE Model of Mastery™ created by Emiliya Zhivotovskaya and is dedicated to training coaches in how to masterfully create a partnership and container for their clients as equal partners towards their client’s flourishing. The program is organized as:
During this phase, we review and master the core coaching skills learned in the Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP) Program. We will build those skills in learning how to coach the client, not the issue and how to identify the various layers to the client’s agenda(s).
At this phase, coaches are expected to watch the pre-recorded lectures in preparation for class and complete the corresponding assignments. The instructor will demonstrate coaching during each lecture. Students are gently guided in how to conduct very basic coaching sessions are they are encouraged to seek out practice clients.
During this phase, coaches continue to learn coaching skills that we refer to as The Coach’s Palette while also beginning to explore The Life Cycle of the Coaching Process from the initial “sales conversation” to on-boarding and off-boarding process. This is strategically placed in phase two as students first focus on learning how to coach before discussing how to recruit or describe coaching to potential clients. Students learn to finesse the way they coach by incorporating Coaching the Unconscious.
At this phase, coaches begin integrate the coaching fundamentals into a coaching practice. During Module 8 students are placed into a Coaching Triad where they rotate practicing the role of coach and client.
During this phase, with the basics in place, we will add on Specific Scenarios Coaching and Positive Psychology based Coaching. Students will complete the International Coaching Federation’s (ICF) 3-credit ethics course and will explore the process of setting up a coaching practice and marketing your services.
At this phase, you will begin your weekly live Group Mentor Coaching sessions in addition to your lecture and practicum. Students are encouraged to continue to work in their Coaching Triad and to continue recruiting clients to practice with.
While this marks the official end of class, it marks the continuation of your coaching journey towards excellence and mastery. Coaching is a craft that you will continue to hone for years to come. For continued support on your coaching skill we encourage you to review the additional Group Mentor Coaching sessions that you have access to and to enroll in future Group Mentor Coaching (GMC) programs to continue getting feedback on your coaching and to learn from others. For continued business development support in growing your work, we encourage you to apply for our Mastermind and Mentor Incubator (iMMi) Program. Details are available on Mighty Network.

The APPC Program is run by the program creator, Emiliya Zhivotovskaya, who holds a Master Certified Credential (MCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). With over 16 years of coaching experience, Emiliya is the creator of the APPC Program as well as the C.A.P.P. Program. She is fiercely dedicated to the impeccable training of the worlds leaders of the coaching movement. She is both devastated by and fueled by the lack of consistency and quality of the coaching available today. Many people mask coaching under the guise of consulting, advising or counseling. Emiliya’s passion for the profound power of coaching that is in alignment with master level standards drives the way she trains all her students. She believes every coaching student should be trained at a master level, and then they should dedicate themselves to the thousands of hours of practice to embody the mastery that the basics bring. She is also immensely touched by every coaching client and student that has crossed her path, enabling her to perfect the transmission of the craft of coaching, and keeps her constantly learning, growing and honing this art.
Dates, Location & Delivery
The APPC Program usually launches twice per year and is held entirely live online via Zoom.
The Daytime cohort meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 2-3:30pm EST, the Evening cohort meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8:00pm EST.
All live courses (3 hours per week) are conducted using Zoom Technology.
All cohorts are limited to 24 participants.
Program Language
All APPC programs are conducted in English, however, many of our students are bi-lingual and utilize the basic coaching skills that they learn and build their practices in their native languages.
Upon joining the APPC Program, you become a member of the APPC Students & Grads Community and can research whether one of our graduates coaches in your native language for practice.
Intended Participants
The intended participants of the APPC Program are C.A.P.P. Program graduates that are interested in honing and mastering the skillset of coaching with the intention of pursuing a career as a professional coach or simply adding coaching skills into their lives. Most of our students go through the program as professional training. A handful of students go through the program for their own personal development knowing that these skills help them coach themselves and be of better support to those around them.
Requirements to Enter & Complete the Program
Students are required to be enrolled in or have graduated from our Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology (CAPP) Program.
In order to successfully graduate from the APPC Program students are required to meet the live attendance policy of attending at least 12/20 live lectures, 17/20 live practicums and 4/7 live group mentor coaching sessions. The final performance evaluation requires the coach to demonstrate coaching at the PCC Level according to the ICF Core Competency standards.

Testimonials
“Having a Masters in Counseling Psychology and over 15 years experience in private practice, I have often played with the idea of becoming a certified coach, but always opted out thinking the education would be redundant. My mindset quickly changed when the Flourishing Center launched their Positive Psychology Coach training. I knew I had to sign up and expand my knowledge and toolbox. Learning alongside fellow Positive Psychology Practitioners and soaking up all the goodness and wisdom that Emiliya has to offer, has been nothing short of amazing. I have greatly deepened my understanding of what it means to do transformational coaching and have already seen the impact my enhanced skillset has on my clients. I leave each class with a fresh perspective and a renewed enthusiasm for the work I love! So grateful for the opportunity to participate in the APPC program.” – Ilene Schaffer, CAPP.7 |
“I have a new outlook, I’m looking through a new lens, talking to people differently. I’m listening so much better and so much smarter. It’s been an amazing journey and I’ve loved every minute!” – Julianne Bing, CAPP.78 |
“Hi Cappsters! If you are considering Coaching, let me tell you my experience… – Marisela Ramos, CAPP.74 |
