You don’t need to DO something to be loved. We all hold internal conversations as we go through our days. Psychologists have identified these inner monologues as “self-talk,” in which you provide opinions and evaluations on what you’re doing as you’re doing it. It is this inner voice. We can actually “hear” what your own self-talk is saying. However, when the voice is critical and harsh, the effect can be emotionally crippling.

What is a statement that you say to yourself? What else is a statement if someone would say to you that would hurt? Self statements such as I am not… Not pretty enough, good enough, man enough, etc. I am useless.
