WOOP is a practical, accessible, evidence-based mental strategy that people can use to find and fulfil their wishes and change habits. Emiliya takes us through the WOOP Model so we can use it and apply the learning to benefit our lives.
The things we really want in life are achievable for the most part. The hard part of goals setting and dream meeting is figuring out how to achieve them. The WOOP method which stands for Wish, Outcome, Obstacle, Plan, can help you plan your thinking and make your dreams a reality.
Wish– What do you want? What do you need to do? What do I want to accomplish?
Outcome– Visualize or imagine the outcome of having the wish fulfilled. Visualize and feel the positive emotions it would bring with the desired outcome. What would happen if it came true?
Obstacle- What are the obstacles? What might be getting in the way? Identify the main obstacles inside you that stand in the way. Process visualization is essential to think through.
Plan- Form a plan. Use this style of implementation intuition to prepare a plan. If faced with (obstacle), then you will take effective action (action) in response. Implementation intention are statements of what you plan to do when obstacles get in the way.
